JEREMY DICKINSON - AUTOJUMBLE
April 26th - June 8th 2024

Jeremy Dickinson is best known for painting meticulous arrangements of the miniature automobiles - cars, trucks and buses - from his own personal collection. More recently, confined to home during the pandemic rather than the studio which houses the collection, he took inspiration from the ubiquitous imagery of Google Earth, flitting virtually from derelict yard to random lots across the world. Hovering between abstraction and realism and clearly referencing the thorny issues of human interaction with the landscape, these paintings revel in the colour and random arrangements of automobile dilapidation to be found in junkyards in all corners of the globe. Autojumble will be Dickinson’s first solo exhibition in the UK for nigh on 20 years, in which time he has exhibited extensively in Korea, Japan and the US. It will present recent work from across all aspects of his practice.
